Patio Removal done right

The hardest part of removing a backyard patio is usually not the concrete — it is getting it out. Many Orange County homes have a three- to four-foot side yard, a gate, an AC unit and a hose bib between the patio and the street. Every piece of concrete has to travel that path without damaging the house, the fence or the plants.

We plan patio removals around access. That may mean compact track equipment that fits through a standard gate, power wheelbarrows, or breaking concrete into hand-carry pieces. We protect the path, remove the patio and any attached patio cover footings, and leave the area clean and level for your landscaper or hardscape contractor.

What’s included

  • Access assessment for gates, side yards and slopes
  • Path protection with plywood and mats
  • Removal of patio slab, steps, footings and attached cover posts
  • Pool-deck concrete removal and coping removal where scoped
  • Haul-off and recycling of all concrete
  • Grade leveled for your next project

Our process

How we handle patio removal

  1. 01

    Access check

We measure gates and side yards and pick equipment that fits.

  2. 02

    Protect

The path from backyard to street is covered to protect the house, fence and landscaping.

  3. 03

    Break out

The patio is saw-cut where it meets the house or stays, then broken out.

  4. 04

    Carry & haul

Concrete is moved to the street, loaded and hauled to recycling.

  5. 05

    Level

We rake and level the area so your next contractor can start right away.

What affects the price

Every estimate we write is based on measurements, not guesses. These are the factors that move the number most for patio removal:

  • Side-yard width and gate size
  • Patio size, thickness and reinforcement
  • Steps, planters or built-in BBQ islands
  • Patio cover posts and footings
  • Distance from the backyard to the truck

FAQ

Patio Removal questions

Can you get equipment into my backyard?

Often, yes — compact track loaders fit through many standard gates. If not, we break the concrete by hand-operated breakers and move it with power wheelbarrows.

Will you remove my patio cover too?

We can remove patio covers, posts and their footings as part of the same job. Tell us when you request your estimate.

Can you remove a pool deck without damaging the pool?

Yes. We saw-cut at the coping or bond beam and break the deck away from the pool shell carefully. If you are removing the pool itself, ask us about that scope.

What should I do before you arrive?

Move patio furniture and pots, and let us know about sprinkler lines or low-voltage lighting running under or beside the patio.
