Block Wall Demolition done right
Concrete block walls are everywhere in Orange County. They mark property lines, wrap around backyards and line tract streets. After fifty or sixty years many lean from tree roots or poor footings, crack from settlement, or simply no longer fit a remodel plan — and a leaning masonry wall is a genuine safety hazard.
We remove block walls course by course or in controlled sections, break out the footing, and separate the grout-filled cells and rebar for recycling. When a wall sits on a shared property line we recommend written agreement with your neighbor before work starts, and we plan temporary fencing so pets and privacy are not left exposed overnight.
What’s included
- Assessment of wall height, condition and footing
- Temporary fencing where privacy, pools or pets require it
- Controlled demolition away from structures and neighbors
- Footing removal unless the replacement design reuses it
- Rebar separation, haul-off and recycling
Our process
How we handle block wall demolition

For shared walls, we confirm the neighbor has agreed and plan temporary fencing.
- 03
Take down
The wall is brought down in controlled sections, away from people and property.
- 04
Footing & haul
Footings are broken out and all masonry is hauled to recycling.

What affects the price
Every estimate we write is based on measurements, not guesses. These are the factors that move the number most for block wall demolition:
- Linear footage and wall height
- Grouted vs. ungrouted cells and rebar
- Footing size
- Access on both sides of the wall
- Need for temporary fencing (pools require a compliant barrier)
Block Wall Demolition in Orange County
If your backyard has a pool, California law requires a compliant pool barrier at all times. When a block wall that forms part of that barrier comes down, we install temporary fencing the same day so your pool stays enclosed.

FAQ
Block Wall Demolition questions
Who pays for a shared property-line wall?
That is between you and your neighbor, and California’s “good neighbor fence” law generally presumes adjoining owners share responsibility for boundary fences. We recommend a written agreement before any shared wall is removed.
Is a leaning block wall dangerous?
It can be. A leaning wall can collapse suddenly, especially after rain. If yours is leaning noticeably, keep people and pets away from it and have it assessed promptly.
Can you remove part of a wall?
Yes. We can remove a section — for a new gate or RV access, for example — and leave a clean end for your mason to cap.
